Breaking Glass

Science Week

On Monday 15 August in the library Mrs Carrington’s Year 9 class were working in teams to complete an immersive hands-on experience that involves students problem solving. 

This was based on STILE’s Escape Room titled “Breaking Glass”.  This was about alerting students to the fact that we are running out of sand, which is a finite resource.

Students hunted around the room to find 10 challenge cards.  After completing the challenge, the students uncovered a code and using these codes they unlocked a safe where a scientist had hidden a secret recipe to make sand-free glass.
