Our eighth annual Year 11 Talented Maths Day was held on Thursday June 1 2023.
This inter-school mathematics competition has turned into a wonderful tradition between competing schools, including Blakehurst High School, Caringbah High School, Danebank School, Beverly Hills Girls High School, St George Christian School, St Ursula’s College, Kogarah High School, Moorefield Girls High School, and St. George Girls High School.
The best and brightest across the schools are well-suited to the difficult and alternative styles of questions, who enjoyed the opportunity to experience extra-curricular Mathematics. It is equally wonderful to see students engaging in competitive spirit and making inter-school connections.
Both our Sydney Tech teams were outstanding on the day . Steven L, Hoang Lan V, Ayush S, Andriy C, and Allan Z came in at fifth place and Josh P, Ethan H, Suhash K, Michael H and Thomas Z performed exceptionally taking out the win of the entire competition.
This makes for a two-year winning streak, with our previous winners, now in Year 12, anxiously checking in on results as they came through. We hope that these students will continue to inspire our students to strive towards continued success.
